One More Day

Loss does not occur in a one day.
Loss happens each day, for those who are still living.
Barbara Kingsolver, Unsheltered.

This post is in memory of Vic, Ivan, Ernie T, Suzanne and Johnny, Jack, Tammy’s daughter, Sandy’s Eddie, Marlene’s Don, Nicky, Judy’s Jim, Christy’s mom, Judy, Gail’s mom, Bette, Connie’s mom Miriam, our parents, grandparents, sisters and brothers and those taken by illness, accidents, COVID, and the Surfside collapse.

Grieving is hard work. Maybe this can ease the pain.

One More Day

One more day with my rose--
Too quickly it goes.
The bloom so sublime
Lost by time.

One more day with the song
That hummed me along,
So final and yet,
The melody lingers on.

Sing me your hymn
Alive and undimmed.
Music that transcends,
My rose has no end.
Rose, Roses Flowers, Romantic, Love, Red, Beauty, Petal
A song with no end

For god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.

John 3:16

Rose, Logo, Mourning, Black, Berry, Flower, Farewell

Oh Gloria, this is so true and so appropriate at this time with the condo collapse so prevalent in the news- and yes we all grieve losses of loved ones- that is our hope, Everlasting Life! Thank you for this beautiful wisdom
