The Columbine, the state flower of Colorado is a symbol of faith, not fear.

In the high altitudes of the Rockies, under the umbrella of the quaking aspens, columbines remind us of our own spiritual elevation . . . that even in rocky soil, the ability to reach high in faith is already seeded. ----G. Hill

In the hush of a mountain meadow, "softer than a lullaby", you can hear their resounding message: Courage can defy the precipice of adversity. -----G. Hill

Blue for Healing
References to the color blue occurs more than fifty times in the bible. Its use in scripture lends itself to symbolically representing the healing power of God.

Gold for Purity and Wisdom
Yellow and gold are also the color of fire. Fire represents the presence of God (Dt. 4:24; Heb. 12:29) and God’s refining process. Therefore, yellow represents the joy, the presence of God, and God’s anointing, whereas gold represents God’s holiness, divine nature, and his majesty. (Reference below)

Interesting how blue and yellow create green, the color of life that renews itself, ----G. Hill

Let there be peace on earth… and let it begin with me. -------Jill Jackson and Sy Miller
