Starlight

So far away, 
Be safe, be well. We pray,
Sending hope to where you are,
Under your distant star.

It hurts, it aches, pain reverberates.
Can my heart bear this weight?
Yearning, stretching, oh so far,
To your distant star.

But space is deceiving, fools you believing
Separation and despair.
Spirit knows better, we link together
Under our common star.
