A Smile, Your Birthright

A smile is the quickest transport to your soul energy.
        ----- G. Hill
A simple smile. That’s the start of opening your heart and being compassionate to others.
          ----- Dalai Lama

Intentionality

I noticed waking up to negative feelings about myself and the world. So, I decided to do something radical.
I would intentionally start the day with a smile. No matter what. It changed me. Powerfully. Free and simple.

Looking back, I realized that even though I had been praying for a better outlook, I was not doing my part, fulfilling my part of the contract. I already had the tool, yet I was forgetting to smile.
      -----G. Hill

It’s Not Gas

Researchers say smiling is innate, not learned. A baby born without sight will smile. They say it is a reflex.

From what?

I think a newborn smiles when transported and connected to the soul. That is smile-worthy.

Have you ever wondered when it is that we begin to know our soul? I have to think soul identity is there from the first breath. The Hebrew word for breath in the bible is the same as the word for soul: Nefes.

I recall when folks used to call it a gas reflex when a newborn smiled.

I do not recall smiling when bloated with gas, do you?

The Smile Experiment

Try this experiment: whatever your first thoughts upon wakening are, smile. If you have had a rough night, smile. If you are facing a difficult day, smile. If you are giving yourself a lashing for some unknown reason, smile. If you are aching, smile. If you begin your day with a prayer, smile. It is our part of the bargain.
Smiling enhancing our brains, lowers blood pressure and relieves stress in our bodies and does the same for people around us. A smile is the best face-lift, and it is free.

I will forget my complaint, I will change my expression, and smile.
      ------Job 9:27
A cheerful look brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones.
      ------Proverbs 15:30

Yes!! what a great idea to start the day with a smile – I see the obvious impact that a smile has when in passing by someone, I smile– I love the scripture with this one!
