(Dalle Stella, from an old Italian Christmas carol we sang on Christmas Eve: Tu Scendi Dalle Stelle, which translates to “you came down from the stars”. You can hear it sung by Andrea Boccelli by clicking on the link below.)

Christmas reminds us we are travelers on a cosmic journey, swirling and dancing in the eddies and whirlpools of infinity. Life is eternal. We have stopped for a moment to encounter each other, to meet, to love, to share this precious moment.
----Paulo Coelho

The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious.
----- Albert Einstein

Angel-lights descend from the stars.
Spellbound, we are pulled into their orbit
And the soul remembers,
We were made to fly.

In the realm of twinkling lights,
crescent moons, and cosmic belts,
we allow ourselves to be transfixed,
Halfway here.
Halfway somewhere else.

In the Somewhere Else
I feel your light
Shining through
My heart window,
Left open for you.
Transcending the grief
That shadowed my life,
Now alive and undimmed
Singing your hymn.
Stay the while
In the lingering light,
Betwixt here and there,
Before falls the night.

Where does love take you? (Dove amore ti trasportò?)
Follow the star and return again. (Segui le stelle e ritorno)
(From the song, Tu Scendi Dalle Stella . . .)

Where Does Love Take You?
. . . To follow that star in Bethlehem,
To a birth that brought God to mankind,
And His death that brings mankind to God.
--Barry Lovett

I come as a light into the world,
that whosoever believeth on me
may not abide in the darkness.
----John 12:46

Wishing you and all you hold dear, the Merriest of Christmases.
May the angel-light that descends from the stars enter your heart window taking you to that somewhere else, before falls the night.
Thank you for taking time from your busy lives to read these words.
It is no small thing to me.
GLORIA

***Andrea Boccelli singing Tu Scendi Delle Stelle, an old Italian Christmas Carol we sang on Christmas Eve, written in 1744 by Alphonsus Liguori. Buon Natale. The video works well on laptops but is off center on iPhones. The audio works well either way.

Beautiful and comforting—thank you, Gloria, and Merry Christmas!🎄💞🎄
Merry Christmas to you, too. Thank you for your kind words.
Thanks Gloria for displaying the true meaning of Christmas with such beautiful words and photos. For me Christmas is our greatest of holidays and one special moment was standing in Manger Square in Bethlehem and visiting where Jesus was born some two thousand years ago.
Thank you Frank. I love how it never fades, never gets old, And we always feel that inner delight. It’s magical and mysterious.
