Looking Beyond

How absurd-
Time spent on idle words.
My mental note of introspection:
Look beyond the imperfection.

How futile,
The whole kit and caboodle
And time spent stewing
On negative things.

My note for my daily journal:
Look beyond and see the eternal.

The Owl Butterfly’s Eye: seeing beyond.

So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.

yes, fix our gaze on things unseen – hard for me to let go of whatever I am worrying about today and to focus on the eternal- I keep reminding myself that I have so much to be grateful for!
