I saw this door on a walk in Fire Island, NY. I wasn’t the only one to stop and wonder about it. This unusual sight drew me and others near. Doors are mentioned in the bible almost 200 times and most are about them opening. And yet this door, this closed door, offered me an opportunity to feel grateful for the ones in my life that did not open. Our free will is both a gift and a responsibility. I chose other doors to open and the world spread before me.

Some doors are not meant to open, Appreciate those that have closed. Pivotal detours steer us, Trust in the One who knows. ------G. Hill

Today: An Open Door Waiting for you, things yet to see, New thoughts, new sounds from A to Z. Yes this new day is a blessed door, Opening for you this very morn. -----G. Hill

Happiness often sneaks in through a door you didn’t know you left open. --– John Barrymore
The link below tells of a door I closed behind and the one I embraced. It is a story of courage and of love, guided by the “Opener of Doors” and it did make all the difference.

And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open. -----Isaiah 22:22
