Note: Reflecting on my ups and downs of life, it was the voice of ego that was often the loudest, overtaking the song in my heart. I took many wrong turns, finding little nourishment following ego. All the while, my real worth was quietly humming, waiting to be heard.

The other sings.

The ego is the voice in the head which pretends to be you.

As egos get louder
Lean in closer
The gifts inside
Cannot be denied.

Confessions of an Independent Woman
Made strong
So, I went along
With ego's false worth
Putting it first.
Pride rides high
Puffs out to imply
We can do it alone.
'til stripped to the bone.
Long adrift from God's song,
It all went so wrong.
And down on my knees
Help me, Please . . . Please.
And this was my breakthrough
The voice rang so true:
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU.
-------G. Hill

He who has ears to hear, let him hear!
-----Matthew 13:9

Thank you for adding your comment. I’ve gotten off track, and back again, thankfully.
I love the art and of course the scripture in this one!!
