Heart Chimes

Birdsong calls our hearts to chime
Tinkling the kindest of sounds.
Horizons of hearts united in time,
Powerful and profound.
      ----G. Hill
I am here to listen, to nestle in the soft hollow of pine needles, to turn off the voices in my head, until I hear the shhh of the wind, the trickle of water over rocks, the clear notes from a wood thrush piercing the dawn, and something more, without language, but it does say that I am not alone.
        -------Robin Kimerer, Braiding Sweetgrass
Floating in the waves of the wind, something once stilled is heard.
 -------G. Hill
I did not call out, but still I was heard.
----Mitch Albom
It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; And while they are still speaking, I will hear.
      ----Isaiah 65:24
