The Rhythm of Oneness

He must have known, our loving lord,
We needed birdsong and sweet accord.
We needed sunsets and auras of grace,
Palettes of motion . . . in one embrace.

The undulations of sea and body bring unison, a rhythmic dance of mind, body and soul. Seagulls, not wanting to be left out, cannot be restrained. In sweeping motions across the sky, they applaud their approval. We raise our hearts in a collective oneness.

Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean.
~ Ryunosuke Satoro
“Men go fishing all without knowing that it is not fish they are after.” (Henry David Thoreau)
"Motion and rhythm find their way to the secret places of the soul." (Plato)

Free and unbound, the act of fishing parallels the rhythmic motion of water with the measured cadence of casting, waiting and reeling. Together it soothes the soul and stills the mind.
In the stillness of my mind, I saw myself as I am - unbound.
~ Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj
He must have known
I would need this sunset.
Where voices subside
And my mind can rest . . ..
 . . . in nature's red and glorious gold.
Watching the weary day unfold.

Nature saves her best for last,
Palettes of colors, unsurpassed.

How softly it pulls me,
The sun going home,
Sinking into oneness . . .

. . .. He must have known.

May the God of peace be with you all. (Romans 15:33

    1. Frank, Ahhh yes. We shore lovers never truly leave the beach, always a bit of sand between the toes, hearing the sound of seagulls laughing overhead.
