Where the Wildflowers Grow: Fields of Grace

Dedication: To John Adair and my Music Makers and Joyful Chords. Their song of life paints my inner landscape with colorful fields of joy.

This I have learned, to be patient with all that is unsettled for something good is always growing. So, in my quiet spaces, I am a single drop of rain released from dark clouds to drink the colors of splendor, free and undimmed, where the wildflowers grow.
As wildflowers grace the valleys and the hillsides, they also paint our inner landscape with fields of colors sprouting in unexpected places, like the cracks and crevices of our broken hearts.

We did not endure the dark lonely paths to be untouched by Grace.

Wither our path takes us, however bumpy and long the road, Grace will not leave us there alone. Even if our senses are dulled and we have forgotten our song, Grace leaves the spaces to enter, in the cracks, where the wildflowers grow.

Like wildflowers, you must allow yourself to grow in all the places people thought you never would.
~ Lorde
You belong among the wildflowers. You belong with your love on your arm. You belong somewhere you feel free.

Sometimes we feel buried when we are actually planted.

Won't you come into the garden?
I would like my flowers to see you.
---Richard Sheridan
We belong to the fields, where our oft-forgotten inner child dances freely and undimmed, claiming life in all its glory, and Grace springs like hope, where the wildflowers grow.

I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing:
therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.
Deuteronomy 30:19

Life gets messy. Lifted by song. Thank you John Sears for the song suggestion. Enjoy Wildflowers by Dolly Parton and What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong.

I see the messy world created by us humans but then I see nature as you so beautifully displayed and I say to myself oh yes what a beautiful world.

    1. Frank, you are so right. I think the creator knew we would need purple sunsets and morning birdsong so we might feel the goodness of creation and to participate in it. Even the smallest drop of rain causes ripples in the water. Thank you for your contribution. Gloria
