I used to wonder about trees swaying in the breeze. What stories are held beneath the bark? What secrets are blowing freely that I cannot hear?
But these days, in the winter of my years, I just hear approval.

Applause. Applause
As evening draws.
The day is spent.
Trees nodding consent.
----G. Hill

Applause, Applause.
Bending low.
Acknowledgement
Of God's overflow.
----G. Hill

Applause, Applause.
In nature's laws.
Oasis of sounds
As life rebounds.
-----G. Hill

Listen to the trees talking in their sleep. What nice dreams they must have!
