Day’s Eye

Daisies: From old English for the day’s eyes. Daisies close at night and reopen in the morning to greet the day.

With eyes that never blink,
My daisies have all day to think
about life.

I yearn to know so I lean in low.
And to my delight and little to hide
they confide.

"I see it all, the large and the small,
The worst and the best
so let me profess---

"When darkness descends at the day's end,
I turn off the clatter, for all that really matters is
my quiet golden light within."
We become what we think about. ---Earl Nightingale
