Interlaced

Note: This post was ‘strung together’ while making friendship bracelets for my grandchildren.

What do I do with all those gems,
The jewels of joy to live again.
Moments of cheer and sweetness so dear,
I want to keep them very near . . .

So . . .

I string them on a necklace of bliss,
Beads of smiles, hugs and a kiss.
A garland for my heart's décor,
To savor good times forevermore.

Once strung together and put in place
Tickling my heart like gentle lace.
When saddened by the long dark night
I feel the garland and switch on its light.

      ------ G. Hill

Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.

    1. The first three bracelets fell apart. Then I had to focus. I am not a detail person.
