Due to popular demand after yesterday’s post “Rearrangements”, this is the floral love seat that loudly took over our living room, blocking out the great outdoors. I began thinking more about things before and after.

We all have pivotal milestones in our lives that turn our lives into segments of times "before" and times "after": before and after marriage, before and after children, before and after retirement. These are the obvious cornerstones of time; others are more subtle. The quieter turning posts tiptoe into our lives and only come into focus in the "after-times".

I often look back to a recent pivot of my life. It was three years ago. I was relaxing in my outdoor nook in my New Jersey home, enjoying a beautiful spring morning, when a friend from Florida texted me a question. It was a simple question but it became a transcendental moment for me.
Everything changed and propelled me a before/after moment. . .
Carol asked, "What are you doing?"
My text back to her evolved into a short story that became my first blog post and the opening story in my book, The Nature Whisperer: Seasons of Light. (I will post that tomorrow to avoid a lengthy morning read. )
On that morning, Carol was my lucky ladybug. She was my good spirit spring boarding me forward into a new segment of my life. Thank you Carol.

In you are on the verge of a pivotal before/after moment, this prayer for you: Dear Lord, Use your angels to open my eyes, my heart, my mind, and my hands! Please open my eyes to see what you want me to see Please open my ears to hear clearly when you speak Please open my heart to receive from you Please open my heart to love like you Please open my mind so I can think farther, bigger, deeper and wiser Please open my mind so I can understand Please open my hands so I may receive the help you are so eager to give me Please open my hands to boldly, freely, joyfully share your blessings with others Please give me a deeper passion for the lost – it’s a little bit scary to pray this prayer.. but please Lord, please give me an undeniable burden for souls, a passion, compassion for people and my way forward!
