Northbound: Going the Distance

This post is dedicated to Don Brubaker, who always, without question, goes the distance to help others.

We will be traveling north from sunny Florida to spend the holidays with family, anticipating that first magical snowfall.

I wish you safe journeys in your own travels. The next posts will be looking at the theme of distances.
Path, Road, Valley, Forest, Infinite, Just, Silhouette
It’s never crowded along the extra mile. — Wayne Dyer
And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two.
      -------Matthew 5:41
2 Person Holding Hands
We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.
        ------Winston Churchill
Tree, Tree Of Life, Snowflakes, Frame, Spiritual
Forgive this abrupt pivot to snow,
but I always love anticipating that first magical snowfall.
Snow was falling,
so much like stars
filling the dark trees
that one could easily imagine
its reason for being was nothing more
than prettiness.
― Mary Oliver
Landscape, Deer, Nature, Tree, Christmas
It is the life of the crystal, the architect of the flake, the fire of the frost, the soul of the sunbeam. Crisp winter air is full of it.
      -----John Burroughs

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
